Hi,

Apologies for the inconvenience you are facing.

Request you to respond to couple of my queries to isolate the issue further:

  • Do you get any errors while opening jpeg?
  • How are you opening the files?
  • Do you get this issue with other files than jpeg also?
  • When you say "drag it into as open ps" does it mean Photoshop or Photoshop Elements?

For your reference, please check Opening files in Photoshop Elements

Also you can try clearing the preferences to check if the issue resolves as mentioned here : Preference file locations for Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements

Thanks,

Arshla

Thank you for your reply.  In answer to your questions.

I do not get any error  messages.  I left click or right click and than click on open and elements opens but the picture does not.  If the pic is a psd it will open but jpeg or jpg or tiff will not open.  With elements open I can than drag the picture from anywhere and slide into elements and it will open.

Thank you
