Hi,

Yes PNG file format is supported by Elements 15 ( Both Photoshop Elements Organizer and Editor).

For further information, you can refer to Photoshop Elements supported file formats

Thanks,

Arshla

When I open .png files all I get is a transparent background

You mean there is nothing at all except transparency in the document area?

Do you see anything in the layers panel?

What operating system are you using?

Have you tried opening the png with Paint (windows) or Preview (mac)?

I believe my problem is not with Adobe but with the download itself. For

some reason this site will not allow me to save a .png that is readable by

adobe. I can open other .pngs without any trouble after further

investigation.

Thank you, Bob
