Elements 14 and CR2 files

It is unfortunate that there is no other solution. But I will probably end up buying Elements 15.

According to the website a plugin should help (9.6 or higher) but that won't install.

Elements 14 is only compatible with Camera Raw up to version 9.5.

Camera Raw plug-in and Adobe application compatibility

Your options are either to upgrade to Elements 15 and edit the Raw files or stay with Elements 14, convert to DNG then edit the DNG files.

With the DNG converter, you batch convert folders of CR2 Raw files to DNG format then edit the DNG files (not the Raw files) in Elements 14. An extra step for you but no extra cost.
