PSE 2019 and MacBookPro, IAC operation failed

Sometines I get a message "IAC operation failed"

Saving the picture in edit mode several times with different file name, I succeed to continue.

What is this IAC operation and how to avoid it?

Getting it on Elements 2019 since iMac was upgraded to Catalina !!   GRRR  Clears when close organiser and reopen ??

Instead of closing organiser go back to editor

click show files (bottom left)

click show files selected in organiser

click on photo

exit

when you return to organiser the photo is there in edited form.

Its still a real nuisance but may be preferable

Do either of you agree that running chron scripts, repairing permissions, then restarting the Mac might help?  Maybe resetting PRAM too?  Afterall it's possible the IAC error has nothing to do with Elements.

I don’t think I’ve seen this message for several years. It sometimes did occur on Windows 8 with older versions of PSE when switching from Organizer to Editor. I’ve not seen in on Mac OS. We never did get to the bottom of it.

 

What version of MacOS are you running and what operations are you performing when this message pops up?

 

If you are selecting a thumbnail in Organizer and right-clicking to choose Edit in PSE Editor does it make any difference if you select a thumbnail and simply click the Editor button on the bottom options bar, instead of using right-click?
