Help with Right Alt Key

Photoshop tech issue : need help please.

Running Windows 10, all Creative Cloud apps up to date, I use CC 2018

When using the clone stamp tool or the healing brush tool when I press the RIGHT ALT key (the alt key to the right of the keyboard by the ENTER key) , it does not show sampling cursor, (to select source of clone or healing) instead it does a shortcut for the move tool.

I can only use the LEFT ALT key to sample source?

How do I resolve this issue? Would like to use the right alt key.

Thank you!

Correct answer Carlos Rendon

Actually i believe both Alt keys, left and right should work for setting and showing the source point with the Healing or Clone Stamp tools, at least that's how it works here with a regular desktop machine.

Is your keyboard set to something other than US English?

English (United States)

Jeff Arola   Problem solved! Thank you! My keyboard was set to ENG International  so I switched it back to ENGLISH US  and it works perfect ! Thank you!

Hi Crendonlds,

As far as I can remember it has always been the Left alt key to sample an area while using the Clone stamp tool.

Is there a way to change it to right alt?
