How do I create rounded corners on an image in CS6?

Hello There!

In the previsous version of Photoshop, I use to do the following so that my pictures had rounded corners:

1. Open a picture
2. Click the layer mask button twice
3. Then use the rectangle tool to get my rounded corners on the preloaded image - Presto, all done!

This does not work in CS6.  Does anyone have a better method?  I just want to have rounded corners (radius 5) to my photos.

You can still use a Rounded Rectangle for a vector layer mask.

Draw your path first, then choose Layer - Vector Mask - Current Path

Thanks for the help.  When I followed your steps, the "current path" options was grayed out?  So sorry to bother you again but do you a suggestion as to what I am doing wrong?

When you drew the path with the rounded rectangle tool, what was the setting of this box:

1. Open image file.

2. In Layers panel, target the image layer and Cmd/Ctrl-click the Add Mask button bottom of panel to add an empty Vector Mask.

3. Use Rounded Rectangle Tool with options shown below
