Nikon D7000 presets for camera-raw

Hello, together!

First, I have to apologize my poor English.

I'm using JPEG and raw-format to store my pictures in a D7000. I tried to use only the raw-format and CR to develop the picturs, but the results differ very strong in comparison to the camera-developed JPEG's.

Is there a preset-file or something else available to get he same results/quality with CR without tuning the picture by wasting hours and hours?

Thx in advance, for your support!

Best regards, Siegfried

Here's my understating of the situation. The processing done by Nikon (of any other camera maker) for their JPEGs is not really a profile (it's just in-camera processing). When capturing a RAW file, Adobe Camera Raw must process the RAW data using its own settings/profiles, which will be different than the JPEG. You may find someways to get closer to the Nikon JPEG, but never exactly the same. RAW gives you more flexibility, but not the same "look" as the JPEG.

    Hi, Dan!

I have to apologize my very late response! I'm sorry.

I can comprehend your very detailed and logical explaination - but - i was hoping that someone comes around the corner and presents a viable solution.

So, I will give you the full score or your explaination.

But, nevertheless, in the end I think that there is a solution - all processes can be mapped to a software solution!

Thanks, and all the best for you!

    Best regards,   Siegfried
