Pen Pressure not working new update photoshop 2020

Hi,

I had this issue before in the Photoshop 2019, where photoshop do not recognice the pen pressure. I fix it in the 2019 version, by not enabling the windows ink when I am in photoshop, but apparently this trick do not work in the new version, I did try all I could find online and nothing is working.

I can not use the Update because of that, I am using a Cintiq 22 in Windows 10.

What can be happening?

Clearly Adobe broke something with CC2020 - have the same problem - PSUserConfig.txt for wintab works perfectly well in PS 20.x.x - NOT working in PS 21.x.x

Can't we ever have an point update without someone breaking core functionality?

See my other post about this - no reply from Adobe yet

BUG - wintab NOT WORKING IN 2020 (21.0.1)

UPDATE : I've gotten wintab to work on a new fresh windows install on a new workstation - so thats great - strange thing is that pressure sensitivity is NOT working at all on this config in PS2020 UNLESS wintab is enabled. wtf? On 20.x.x on new install everything is normal.

Well, the config file thing is not working for me and im lucky to have a very old wacom bamboo that my drivers dont have that options that the newer ones have so im stuck not being able to use my wacom on photoshop. The thing is, its only with photoshop... people are "blamming" on windows ink but everything else works fine for me.

Problems i do have:
First touch dont "paint" as it loads some windows ink circle

If i do disable windows ink my wacom dont work on photoshop with pressure anymore.

What is amazing is that this is a problem we can find in the forums for more than 2 years with no solution!!!!

Thats another reason people are really talking about leaving Adobe ecosystem. I wish i could anytime soon.

Hi

Have you added the PSUserConfig.txt file to the Adobe Photoshop 2020 settings folder, I had the same issue with Pen pressure but I just copied the file over from my CC 2019 settings folders

On Windows 10 my PSUserConfig.txt look like this and Pen pressure works in all versions of Photoshop usinf WinTab APIs includind CC 2020.  The some old reportted bugs are still not fixed in CC 2020 though.  The new Object Selection tool is and improvement over the quick selection tool

"PSUserConfig.txt"
"UseSystemStylus 0"

Configures Windows Photoshop CC versions to use Wintab API for Pen control that is not use its default INK API.   Your Pend Device driver must be using Wintab API. If that fixes your problem.  That Configuration file would not be required for Perpetual versions of Photoshop.  They only support Pen via Wintab API.  There was no Windows INK feature when those version of Photoshop were developed.

Adobe PSUserConfig.txt enable optional extensions photoshop cc

On Windows 8 or later, Photoshop (CC 2014 or later) uses Windows Ink to control the interaction of Photoshop and a stylus device. Using Windows Ink gives you better stroke results and allows you to use your tablet PC or convertible device without having to install a driver.

If the tablet uses a WinTab driver and does not have an option to use Windows Ink, or if you encounter other issues, you can use Turn off System Stylus to force Photoshop to use WinTab.

See Tablet support for Photoshop for more information.

The same tried and true config file trick I've used for 5+ years is no longer working on Windows 10 (v 1909) with PS 21.2.1 and I'm really chapped. Workflow is basically at a standstill without pressure sensitivity. Anyone have another solution yet? Windows Ink enabled introduces other issues while using the Intuos in PS which are worse than not having pressure sensitivity.

How is this still a thing we have to deal with? Ridiculous.
