Photoshop 2020 touch screen doesn't work

Dear community,

 

I'm currently using a Lenovo Thinkpad with Window 10. The touchscreen works fine in all other Adobe software, but not Photoshop 2020. I checked all of the previous posts and made sure that:

The 'Use Graphics Processor' box is checked

The "Enable Gestures' box is checked

All the Photoshop preferences were reset

After all of this, the touch screen still isn't working

 

I would appreciate any help you guys can provide! Thank you!

    They fixed it!  Latest update brings touch back. 

     

    The patch did cause an issue though where my pen pressure freaks out and suddenly puts down a big blob...

    Just found a fix. it works

    This works for 2019 and 2020 photoshop and Intous 5 and windows 10 ............

    creat a txt file named "PSUserConfig.txt" in that write one line "UseSystemStylus 0"

    Save it on your systeme here:

    C:\Users\(YOUR NAME)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2020\Adobe Photoshop 2020 Settings

    Restart Photoshop

    just a heads up, adding that introduces an issue with palm rejection...so yeah. not exactly a fix i guess.

    Yea the issues the guys were describing in the vid weren't really any issues I have on the Surface Pro, it's just the touch screen not registering as a select instead of hover.   We're on two patches since the update first caused this mess and it's still not fixed 😕😕 Might do what lina did and revert to an old version.

      I've just found a temporary solution. It seems like the problem lays on the last version of PS by the date (21.1). I've just tried installing the previous version (21.0.3) and the touch functions works again perfectly. Just let's hope Adobe fixes this bug soon.

        I also have the same problem. I am using a Wacom MobileStudioPro and since the last PS actualisation the touch function doesn't fully work. I can rotate the canvas and zoom in and out. But I can not select any tool on the toolbar, because when I touch the tool, PS reads it as if I was hovering. Really frustrating. I've searched a lot and couldn't find an answer yet. I'd be happy about a solution.

        Is touch configured in you photoshop preferences? Note Photoshop does not support finger painting  just supports gestures.Photoshop touch

        I'm having the same problem since the recent Ps 2020 update.  Very frustrating, and I hope that someone can give us an answer.  I also have done all the steps you did based on older threads, but it didn't solve anything.
