Photoshop crashing on brand new gaming PC

I just bought a new gaming PC 3 weeks ago and Photoshop CC keeps crashing.  The system is the

HP - Gaming Desktop - AMD Ryzen 7-Series - 16GB Memory - AMD Radeon RX 580 - 1TB Hard Drive + 128GB Solid State Drive. After working in Photoshop for just moments sometimes, my screen goes blank and my backlit keyboard goes blank as well.  However, the lights on the PC are still on. The only way to fix the problem is to kill the power via the surge protector and reboot.  The problem persists though and has happened multiple times.

Now, I will say that I did have to move PS from my C drive to my D drive. The C drive became full very quickly.  PS kept crashing because I believe there wasn't enough memory on the drive to run it.  So, I moved it to the D drive where there was plenty of room to install and run it.  When, I installed it on that drive, it said I needed to create a folder first, and I did. (I called it Adobe)  It installed fine, but that's when I started getting the crashing issues. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Hey!

I have also been facing the same issue and looking up for the solution. Let me know the authentic solution because i have tried everything but all in vain.

Install it on "C" here as your main software should be on your SSD and make sure that your SSD space has been dedicated to "C"

So glad that you got it working!  I am a gamer and totally respect what a gamer laptop or even what a self made computer can do!

    Those things are power houses!

By the way I am heading to Gamescom again this year!  The games industry so much fun!!!!

Now I gotta see what you are creating.

FYI... did you know that can use Adobe Character Animator and create a puppet to replace yourself on Twitch and Mixer?  It works with OBS Studio some how and I believe Dave Werner (Okay Samuri on YouTube) has a video tutorial on it! So you can use an animated character when you stream to represent yourself and really make your channel super cool.

When you moved Photoshop to your D drive did you uninstall and the reinstall on the new drive, or did you just move the application? Uninstall  /reinstall is the correct way.

    As Ged requested.

Open Photoshop and immediately go to Help > System info and press the "copy" button.

    Then paste that info here.

Could be a hardware issue if that's happening

    Hi

How much free space do you have on the C drive, and how much free space do you have for the scratch disk, it's recommended to have at least 25% free space on and SSD

I have 34.4 GB free. Mind you, PS isn't currently installed on that drive.  How do I find out how much free space is available for the scratch disk?
