Hello Guys,

I use the Photoshop sky replacement tool with the original photos from Adobe.

Can I use the sky picture for Instagram or other social media?

Are the sky picture from Adobe copyright free?

Hi there,

Plaese take a look at the Image usage rights explained in this article: https://www.adobe.com/legal/permissions/image-notice.html

Hope that helps.

Thanks,

The link provided by Akash might not apply to this question, because the link is about images provided through an “integrated search feature.” But the sky replacement files are bundled with the software.

However, this question was answered in another thread. See the comment at this link:

https://community.adobe.com/t5/photoshop/does-anyone-know-if-the-default-sky-replacements-are-creati...

Sky Presets may be used in commercial work just like stock images and shapes/brushes. You just are not allowed to bundle and resell them.

In other words you can sell works that you make with the bundled sky images, just don’t resell the unmodified Adobe sky images themselves.

The distinction is that the sky replacement files are “content files” (“Adobe assets provided as part of the Services and Software”) so they fall under the “content files” section in the Adobe Terms of Use.
