Wacom Pen (Bamboo Ink Stylus) no longer working with photoshop CS5

Edit 1: Update. I have got it working for the moment, but I am not sure why this has fixed the issue.

Under control panel go to Pen and Touch

Turn back on Press and Hold for Right-click. (previously was turned off to fix the pen from a previous win10 build)

I was wondering if someone might be able to help me out.

The wacom pen that came with my lenovo thinkpad is no longer working with photoshop CS5. However it does work with all my other software (ex. Zbrush, Clip Studio, Corel, etc). I assume the issue has to do with the latest update from MS as it was working just fine before the update, however all the solutions I have found online haven't worked. I've tried the wintab UseSystemStylus 0 solution; did not work. I uninstalled / reinstalled all drivers and photoshop still did nothing. I just reformatted the laptop just to make sure and this issue is still there. Everything has been updated to the latest drivers.

The best way I can describe the issue is the pen is getting stuck in a "clicked" state. For example if I create a new file I can draw for a second then it'll stop. If I tap the screen with the pen it'll place a dot (brush tool) but it will not create a stroke if I drag the pen. If I go to change the tool, the sub menus will appear but I wont be able to select anything. That being said if I click with the mouse all the actions I've tried to do with the pen process really quickly.

The mouse and touch work fine.

Another example is if I select the pen tool (ps tool) and try to use the pen (wacom pen) it'll only place the first control point down and no other. Again, if I click with the mouse all the control points I attempted to place with the pen will process very quickly and show on the screen.

I've tried reaching out to wacom and MS but never heard anything back. I was hoping someone here might have a solution. Thanks!

As a side note I reinstalled Adobe Premiere and the pen is no longer working with it either. Same issues seems to be happening.

As far as I know the bamboo ink stylus was developed for machines like Microsoft Surface machines the support  pens via Window's INK interface.   Old Perpetual version of Photoshop do not  have support to interface with Pens that use Windows INK.   I believe you would need a device driver that would add support to use WinTab API with your Wacom Bamboo Stylus.

Your Wacom Bamboo Ink Stylus should work with  Photoshop Creative Cloud version

Thanks for the reply! I was also curious about that so before I reformatted I downloaded and installed the latest Photoshop CC trial and the same issue occurred. Been using CS5 with on this laptop with the internal pen since 2014ish with really no issues. It wasn't until these lasts few updates that things took a turn for the worst.
