2022 Premiere Elements No Audio

After switching to a new laptop and downloading PE 2022 I did not have any audio when trying to edit a video.  The reason for me was that I had the microphone turned off for all apps and it would not recognize even the speakers.  So going to edit, preferences, audio hardware trying to select output to another device and then switching back to speakers didn't work.  When I turned the mic back on for the apps and selected PE mic to on, audio works fine.

No. I didn't have any option given to me other than Realtek speaker not working.  When I turned on the microphone it solved the problem.
