I can't activate Premiere Elements 14 as it says that the serial is already used for the max number of computers. I've deactivated an old computer and the only computer that is activated now is the very same computer I'm trying to install Elements on. How do I solve this?
My other Adobe products like LR and PS works fine.
They want you to deactivate the software on the old computer.
If you have done this and still can not use PSE, you need to contact Adobe directly.
Adobe Photoshop Elements Learn & Support
On the bottom of the screen click on "Contact Us."
There are also regional telephone numbers
Adobe Customer Service (Support) no longer has the ability to reset activations.
The only way to deactivate is if you can open the program on the computer that you want to deactivate.
I'm not aware of any workarounds.

Had the same problem for PCs I no longer have. Only had software ever installed on 1 single PC. They were able to clear the activation list on their end and clear the issue. Online CHAT was useless. They also said the number of activations or Activated Devices would not show up on your online account profile under Activated Devices. Go figure.

Unfortunately, if you typed "Agent" into the chat box and have clearly stated to the agent that all you want is your activations reset, sometimes you may get an agent that isn't doing their job properly.
If that happens, go back to chat and hopefully the next agent will do their job properly.

I have a copy of CS 5.5 Pro. About a month ago my motherboard crashed. I installed a new motherboard and since then I get the message that there are more than two installations. I have deactivated the software on both computers. Still doesn't work. Adobe sticks by their company line that they no longer support the software. I've asked my money back but that falls on deaf ears. The customer service is horrible.
Does anyone have a fix? I am fairly computer literate. I've tried going into the registry but when I connect to the Internet the code still invalidates my license.
Thanks,
Mark

Thanks. Since Adobe took my +$500 for their software never saying that when they no longer felt like it, they would not honor the purchase, I guess we are down to two options:
1) Refund my money.
2) Give me lifetime access to their Creative Cloud versions.
If Adobe cared about its customers, there might be one more option. They would find a fairly smart employee who knows where the activation code lives and tell us how to eliminate it. Or they could eliminate the restrictions on their end.
The last far-out solution seems the easiest, cheapest, and most attractive. But then this is Adobe.
