Chroma key and others disappeared from my Premiere Elements 2024

After installing the program all worked well including the Chroma Key. The following morning suddenly many key functions disapeared from the available selections of functions. Maybe due to an update of the software that was done at night. I reinstalled the purchased version and the function did not come back. I had to go back and use the 2022 version that I had earlier,

I am using windows 11 PC and curently not using the 2024.

Emailed support and they asked for the serial number, which I sent back a few days ago. Hope to get a solution soon.

Attached are a couple of screenshots shwing what is availablke in version 2022 and what is available in version 2024. 

If anyone had a similar problem and solved it I would like to do get advice.

On my Windows 11, all seems to be fine. These effects are still functional -- though they do have strange flags on them.

Looks like chroma key has been dropped from the program as many other effects were dropped from 2023.

@Steve Grisetti the strange flag means the effect is gpu accelerated.

@Ann Bens no effects were removed in PRE 2024. This is a bug which has happened in last couple of weeks and we are diagnosing this to offer a fix.

hi, got premiere elements 2024 a couple days ago. the 'ghosting effect' is missing, though it is included in the adobe premiere effects reference list [https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/using/effects-reference.html]. [dated 2022]. i am on windows 10.  is this going to be restored, or will i have to find other solutions for editing? thanks.

The Manual is misleading, as it is still on 2022: many effects have been removed from the 2024.

Ghosting has been dropped accidental too.

No idea when of if this is going to be restored.

If you do not like what you are seeing: ask for your money back within 30 days from Adobe.

You need to have Adobe update the online manual.

I quit procrastinating, got the serials and installed PrE 2024.  I started with the Help menu and clicked "Tutorials".   The first one that comes up is how to burn discs!

money back isn't going to get me what i need.  @Varun Chawla  says that it's a bug they are fixing, so i guess fingers crossed. if it comes down to it, i suppose i could use my older version for the ghosting bits. in the meanwhile i've been trying to find what and where we can get plugins for additional features, like the ghosting....not at all simple and straight forward as i expected.

this is a comparison between my old premiere elements 8 and the new premiere elements 2024.  many of the

effects are missing, not just a few.  i would really like to have 'ghosting' and 'old film' back at least. premiere

elements 8 really doesn't function well, and cannot handle 4k at all.

[i haven't rendering anything with the new 'artistic' effects, but they look really awful in preview].

Yes lots of effects have been dropped from 2023 and later.

1. Movie Menu and DVD share for Windows platform.
2. Instant Movie.
3. Video export formats other than H264.
4. Camera Raw support.
5. Effects and Transitions – All NewBlue effects, Hollywood Looks, Legacy Key Luma, Color
Emboss, Legacy Key Remove Matte, Legacy Key NonRed, Texturize, Spherize, Legacy Key
RGBDifference, Corner Pin, Bevel Alpha, Emboss.

Most unlikely they will ever return.

i imagine it has become a casualty of the subscription trend, it looks like premiere pro has over 9 million subscribers. that's over 2 billion dollars per year.  the thing is i really do no want a subscription to anything.  i just want to do a few films every so often, but not that often. thinking of getting some 3rd party plugins that might compensate the deficit. looking at this one now: https://www.toolfarm.com/buy/pixelan_creativease_video_effects_suite_all_packs/

segnalo lo stesso problema: acquistato Premiere Elements 2024, prima carrellata sugli effetti, verifico la presenza del "Chroma Key".

Dopo due settimane volevo utilizzarla ma, chroma key sparito!

Ora sto leggendo queste righe e vedo che il problema non è solo il mio, però per usare il chroma key è chiaro che dovrò cercare qualche altro programma.
