Converting to Elements to Pro

Can I open my Elements for Windows projects in Premiere Pro for either Windows or Mac?

No. The two programs' project files are not compatible.

It does work.  The few times I've done it, including once this morning, it may not be perfect.  Simple projects open well.  More complex projects, maybe less well.  It would take some testing to figure out what transitions, key frames, titles, etc make the transfer.   Premiere Pro does leave the original Premier Elements project intact, so if it doesn't work, you can go back.

I tried it as an experiment. Many of my effects didn't carry over, understandably.
