Error or Problem when opening a saved project in Premiere elements 2020

I just installed Premiere Elements 2020, created a file (saved  at least 5 times during creation) and saved again when exiting.  When trying to open the saved file I get the message "Unknown error occured while opening the project"  Is there any way out?

In Preferences there is an Auto Save choice.  By default it is on and makes backups.  Try opening the most recent backup.

Thanks, it works sometimes. Elements 2020 seem to be buggy. I afraid I
wasted money on the upgrade. 2014 was much more stable.
