You didn't say which version of Premiere Elements you are using.   Older versions require the right Microsoft extensions and they have to be working.  Newer versions work better.   There are three choices.  First, fix the Microsoft extensions.  Second, convert the HEVC video files to the more compatable H.264 and the HEIF files to JPEGS.  Third is to set your DJI camera to shoot the more compatable H.264 video files and JPEG stills.   A good conversion program for existing video files is Handbrake (which is free).

Good morning

I have installed HEVC V into the settings. All the settings you suggested were already in place, I am using elements 2025. I am only talking about a dozen (important) files. All the other 4oo files were okay, from both my drone and action 4. Anyway, thank you for telling me about Handbrake, I am using it now.

If it is working OK on 400 files and only 12 are a problem, it seems there must be something different about those 12.   If you share one of them, it might be possible to figure it out.
