Music preview will not play from library

When I try to preview a music/sound effect sample from the library, it will play a few times then stop working.  When I press the play button, nothing happens.  If I try another file, it will play fine a few times, then it also will stop playing.  If I move the clip to the timeline, it will play, but I shouldn't have to add it to the timeline to listen to it when there is a preview available.  For reference,  I'm using PE 2021 and yes, the files are downloaded and I have tried restarting the app and my computer.  Any help to solve this would be appreciated.

When you play the music in the Music library, you are playing only a sample. It should only play for a moment or two. You get the complete song when you add it to your library -- so it's doing exactly what it should be doing.
