poor snow colour output quality when rendering 4K video

When rendering video (HEVC) recorded during skiing with my GoPro Hero 10 (4K, 60fps), the snow colours on the output video from premier elements are very poor: on some views, the snow looks yellowish, bluish, purple, pinkish...

When looking with VLC at the origal input video, it looks a lot better.

First converting the HEVC video to H.264 with handbrake before importing it in Premier Elements, gives a somewhat better rendering result, but still the output quality seems fairly low (rendering on high quality setting in Premier Elements, but even then, the output file is a lot smaller than the input MP4).

Any suggestions on how to solve this ?

It might be that snow is the hardest thing to get right!   It appears to me that there is a "temperature" shift in the output coding process toward "cooler".  Maybe try "warming" the temperature a bit prior to output.    To save time, set the work area bars to a brief section and then check the work area only box at output.  A little trial and error might fix this!

I already tried that, but I cannot get it right due to the varying colours I get in the output file (some parts are ok, others are yellowish/pinkish/...).

I am afraid it has to do with how Premier Elements handles the GoPro H.265 file or with the lower output rendering quality as I already get colour issues just by reading in the original GoPro file, and directly exporting it (highest H264 quality possible in PE) without applying any filters. The resulting file is also a lot smaller than the original one.
First transforming the file with handbrake to H.264 was helping, but for 160GB of video, not really what I was looking forward to.
In the end, I switched to a different program to edit my videos.
