Hello Folks
I currently run Premere Elements 2020 on a Dell XPS 15-9510
Windows 11 Pro version 22H2Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-11800H @ 2.30GHz 2.30 GHz
Installed RAM 32.0 GB (31.7 GB usable)
I was putting the final touches on a video roughly 4400 KB when the program crashed. Upon reboot, I tried to open the latest auto-saved file but the video editor was frozen. Maybe the size of the file was causing a delay? After 3 hours, the video editor remained frozen and used task manager to shut down the program. I was able to open a smaller auto-saved file from a different project. I've tried to open earlier auto-saved versions of the current project, but didnt have any luck.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is a video we were going to show during our son's wedding reception this weekend!
Thanks
Paul

How much free space is on your C drive? (I assume with that processor, you've got plenty.) If your video and project is on a separate drive, how much free space is on it? How long does your video project run?
What is the source video you're editing? The size of the video file doesn't mean nearly as much as the specs of the video itself. Is it video from an AVCHD camcorder, a phone, etc., or is a mixture?

Hi Steve
Sorry for the lateness of reply.
Lots of free space on the "C" drive (1.29 TB free out of 1.84 TB)
The project and video was saved on the "C" drive and not separate drive. The video is roughly 3 hours in length.
The video is a slide show using about 650 pictures (all jpeg) and music (all mp3 files).
The pictures were a mix that included heif files, but all were converted to jpeg.
Hope this helps
Thanks again
Paul

Maybe you're on to something about disk size. The project and auto-save versions were being saved to a OneDrive folder and I noticed today that the OneDrive storage was max'ed out. I dont remember seeing that on the 7th.
While its too late for the reception, I'm going to build the rebuild the project and save to my "C" drive and see what happens.
Thanks again.

>OneDrive folder
Is that a folder on your hard drive, or (I don't use one drive) is that a cloud only folder?

Hi John
Its both. Located on the computer and will also sync to the cloud. If you dont have enough cloud space, you can still save locally.
Thx
