Premier Elements 10 Deactivation and activation

New Here ,
Sep 11, 2025 Sep 11, 2025

I've deactivated Premier Elements 10 on a very old laptop..  (it's worked as it's asking me to enter the serial number when I go back in), but when I try to add the product onto a new laptop, it's saying, "This serial number is already in use."

Is there a delay in the deactivation/Activation process or do I have a problem...

Thanks in advance!

Mac or Windows and what operating system on the old computer?

It MAY be that the deactivation did not really work

TLS 1.2 is now required to connect https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/eol-tls-support.html
-If you have Windows 7 be sure to do the EASYFIX.MSI in step 2 of the above link
-test your browser https://clienttest.ssllabs.com:8443/ssltest/viewMyClient.html

My understanding is that Adobe is not maintaining servers to support old software.   Version 10 is 14 years old!    It should continue to work as long as no changes are made to the host computer, operating system and drivers don't change.   Putting it on a new computer won't work.

Also... the old server for CS4 and earlier has been removed from service

The CS2-CS3-CS4 activation servers have been removed from service

So even if the deactivation 'seems' to have worked, you MAY not be able to activate again... since I think your old version was activated on the same server
