Today I did want to edit some GoPro 7 MP4 files in my Adope Premier elements 14.1. Operating system is Windows 10 Home - with all recommended updates.
When I try to import the MP4 media I do get hte error message "the importer recorded a generic error"
Any fixes, work arounds, updates or other things that could make my Premier Elements 14.1 work with GoPro 7 again?
Thanks
Lars W.

That's a relatively old version of the program. It's not going to deal well with H.265 video or 4K video at more than 30 fps.
Open your video in the free download MediaInfo. In MediaInfo, set View to Text and then copy the report and paste it to this forum. With this detailed report we can better advise you what's up.
