Hi,
I have PE 15 where I can burn my project with menues directly to a Blu-ray disc or as a ISO disc image file.
I have watched Steve Grisetti YouTube Basic Training for Adobe Premiere Elements 2022 tutorial part 8 where he demonstrated how to publish a project to social media but not to a disc. There is a disc icon in PE 2022 which suggests that it is possible to burn a project directly to a disc or as a a ISO disc image file as I do in PE 15. But I am not 100% sure that it is the case.
Steve, please let me and other PE users know if the disc option is activated in PE 2022.
Thanks. Lev.

Of course you can create a DVD of your movie. I've got separate tutorials on how to do it and my book covers it very thoroughly.

Hi Steve,
I have Windows 10 operating system and I have PE 15 where I can create a menu for my project and burn project directly to Blu-Ray disc and/or create ISO disc image file. I know that this option was removed in PE and it is now back in PE 2022. It means that I can upgrade PE 15 to PE 2022 and be able to burn Blu-Ray disc and/or create ISO disc image file. Is my understanding correct?
Thanks. Lev.

No your understanding is not correct.
Elements does not offer Bluray burning nor BD iso anymore.
However you can export with a BD preset which will give you a video and audio file.
These files can be usde in a BD authoring program like
TMPGEnc Authoring Works 6 - The Ultimate DVD / Blu-ray / AVCHD Authoring Tool - Pegasys Inc.
without re-encoding

OK. Will it be possible to combine this audio and video files in one that contained all project stuff that includes menues and burn blu-ray disc and blu-ray ISO file using authorized software? Which authorized software is a good fit for PE 2022?

You may create a DVD (including ISO) that has a menu within PrElements
When you export a BD compliant file it only has the video... you 'author' the disc in another program, authoring is where you do the menu

It sounds like keeping PE 15 that has all is the best solution. PE 2022 may be more advanced compared to PE 15 but NO support for Blu-Ray. It IS ridiculous. Is there a movie editing software that is equally good or better than PE that supports publishing project with menues, music, etc. on Blu-ray and also alows creation of Blu-ray ISO file?
Any recommendations?

Thank you Ann for your imput.
Questions:
1. Can I use TMPGEnc Authoring Works 6 software to create a project from the beginning to the end as I do in PE?
In other words, why do I really need to create a project in PE 2022 and then finish the job by creating BD ISO file and/or burn BD disc if I can do the whole project from beginning to the end in Works 6?
2. How can I export BD preset in PE 2022 and import it into Works 6?

Hi Ann,
I believe it is possible to create a project on PE 2021 with titles, music, comments, etc but no menu and then save it as MP4 - H.264 file. Than open this file in PE 15, add menu and create Blu-Ray ISO.
I already was able to covert my old DVD (using another software) into MP4 format, open this file in PE 2015 and create Blu-Ray ISO.
Had no problem doing it.
Anyway, I will try to do the same trick with PE 2021.

Other than some theoretical, and probably not noticible, loss of quality due to rendering compression, that should work perfectly.
As long as you have a version good at making Blu-Rays, keep using it.

Hi Bill,
Do you know if it is possible to have 2 versions of Adobe Photo Elements / Premiere Elements on the same computer?
I am thinking of buying 2022 Adobe Photo Elements / Premiere Elements and install it on my desktop comuter where I already have the 2015 edition.
Thanks. Lev.

Hi Steve,
If the project output in PE 2022 MP4 - H.264 or MP4 -XAVC - S file it will not contain a menu I have created in the project.
Is my understanding correct?
Which output should I select that contained all (including menu and submenus) I created in the project?
I will use this file in another software to create BD ISO file and burn BD disc or create 4K ISO (and burn 4K disc if 4K burners and 4K discs are available. I do not know it they really exist).
Thanks. Lev.

You can only output menus and markers as a DVD, Lev. You can not output an MP4 with menus or scene markers.

PE 2022 is probably more sophisticated compared to PE 15. Is it possibe to finish the project in PE 2022 with all menues pretending that I am planning to burn DVD then open the project in PE 15 and create Blu-Ray ISO file from there?

I'm not Steve, but I have read other messages saying that it is NOT possible to open a 'new' project in an 'old' program
If PrE 15 works for what you want to do, stay with that version

Thank you John.
I believe there is a lot of cool stuff added in PE 2022 if we compare it with PE 15 but if it is possible I would have preferred to create a project in a more sophisticated environment and still be able to have an output as a Blu-Ray ISO.
What if create HD or UHD MP4 file in PE 2022. It will contain all music, commens, titles, etc. except menus and then I open it in another software that will allow me to create a menu and export the final product as Blu-Ray ISO.
Ann Bens suggested that I can do it in BD authorizing program like
TMPGEnc Authoring Works 6 - The Ultimate DVD / Blu-ray / AVCHD Authoring Tool - Pegasys Inc.
Did you or anyone you know in PE community created HD or UHD MP4 file in PE 2022 and contunued working on it in another software: added a menu and saved a final project as an ISO file?

Hi Steve, I have a different problem with burning DVDs - the option "disc" doesn't exist in the "export & share" window. I just get "quick export", "devices", "social media", "audio" and "image" (see attached image in German). This is on a Mac running 10.15.7. There's a burner connected and even if it wasn't, it should give me the option to burn a disc folder, right? Any ideas are welcome, since I bought Premiere Elements specifically for this feature since I struggled with DaVinci on this issue.
Cheers, J.
PS. Sorry I wrongly posted this as a reply to the initial post at first.

Building on Steve's reply, Blu-Ray burning went away a year or two ago. I don't have a Mac, but I don't think disc burning of any sort works on current Apple computers. (I don't have 2022 or a Mac, so I could be wrong.)

See my 10-07-21 reply in https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-elements-discussions/demos-of-new-features-in-premiere-eleme...
The feature comparison SAYS you may burn a DVD with a Mac... since I am Windows I can't verify the truth of that
ADDED 10-17
The feature list for v2022 has been changed by Adobe to remove DVD creation with a Mac, so I guess the earlier list was an error

you can in version 2022 but can not in version 2023 as i have just found out, it still has menu marker in the tabs, but you click on it and it doesnt do anything, then i noticed the dvd tab was missing. pretty stupid, i know dvds are on their way out but many ppl still need dvd, i burn to dvd all the time for my business, so ive put both version 2022 and 2023 on all my 4 comps

I have both PE 15 and PE 2022 on my computer. I mostly use PE 2022 for editing then convert the project into mp4 UHD format to save it to a memory stick and watch it on my UHD TV. I also open this mp4 file in PE 15, add a menu and publish it on a BD disk. You also can do all the editing in PE 15 that has an output to DVD and BD but I found PE 2022 slightly more sophisticated. It seems that there is no sense for me to upgrade PE 2022 to PE 2023.

Disc creation has been removed from the 2023 version
