Is there a comprehensive list of wha't changed in Premiere elements 2025?  I don't mean high level descriptions of new additons, but more details of what's differnet.  What will an experienced user of PrEl 2024 notice and need to know?"

Examples:

1. User Interface - is really different (and better)

2. Motion tracking dropped (probably because it never worked well)

3. Support for Apple MOV videos in HVEC format, maybe ProRes too (not sure), and probably other formats too

4. More graaphics, more titles, etc.

5. support for projects saved in prior versions

Thanks in advance

3. you can import h.265 and prores

As for apple MOV or any phone:  beware of variable framerate when using audio.

4. not really,  22 templates come with the program If you want fancy templates you need to buy them or make them yourself and export as a motion graphic template.

5. Usually means trouble (a lot of video filters missing): start fresh.

Thanks to everyone for your help.  Here's a few more differences.I’ve been using PrE 2025 for about a week and have noticed several changes from the 2024 version (all using the “Advanced View”)

  1. Pan & Zoom – with video, the default for frame #2  is now in the lower right (in 2024 it was in the center).  Seems like an odd choice, especially since the 2025 Pan & Zoom for photos still has center for default.  Also, the little  plus and minus symbols in the lower right corner of the frame no longer “move” when clicked.  This is difficult to explain but in 2024 version you could click repeatedly on the  plus or minus without having to move the cursor.  With 2025 you must reposition the cursor for each click.2.
  2. Audio Gain – this handy tool seems to be missing from 2025 version.  In 2024 version you could right click on an audio track and menu would show Audio Gain.  In 2025 version, the only way I found to adjust audio gain was to drag the audio track‘s  horizontal line up or down.  I suspect there’s other ways but I haven’t found it yet.
  3. Default Transition –  This doesn’t work as advertised.  Selecting two adjacent clips and then right clicking with "Apply Default Transition" applies the transition between the two selected clips as well as to the second and third clips.  The second transition is unwanted (this can’t be a feature?)  Help gives following instructions

    • In the Timeline, select two or more clips. Shift-click clips or draw a marquee over them to select them.
    • Select Timeline> Apply Default Transitions To Selection.

2.  I occasionally use Motion Tracking in PR 2021 & Vn 14 beforehand and it has worked reasonably for me.  A feature I'd want to have.

I would miss motion tracking also, althoough earlier versions were painful to work with. Can anyone suggest a work around in Premiere Elements 2025? I use a spot light effect with motion tracking in my earlier versions frequently. Thanks
