Premiere Elements OOTB Expert editing screen

Explorer ,
Mar 31, 2022 Mar 31, 2022

This should be an easy one to answer. I'm a new Premiere user but I've been creating videos since about 2007 or so.

I have installed Premiere Elements 2022. When I first opened the Expert tab there was a panel in the lower left corner that held what appeared to be backgrounds of some sort. They were squares of random designs. Anxious to dig into Premier I closed it, thinking it would be easy enough to open again. I've searched the menus and the community here; no luck.  I don't even know what its purpose was, possibly adding background to a clip.  Any idea where the button is to restore it?  What is its purpose?

Thanks

I'm also unaware of any such panel. Are you sure you aren't seeing Auto Creations on the Welcome Screen?

If you can post a screen capture of it, I'm sure we can help you identify it.

I'm sorry, but I don't recall ever seeing such a panel.   There is a button that takes you  to Organizer, the file management system.

Thanks to both of you for the replies. Premiere is brand new to me. I installed and opened it up, then went to the Expert tab. In the bottom left corner was a panel that displayed some images, like background squares. The panel stayed there while I added and edited some clips to get started. To clean up the screen a little I clicked on something to close the panel.

It's not the link back to Organizer because that takes you away from Premier. Auto Creations is also on the Organizer screen and selecting that takes me to another page to select media.

I'll have to install it again to find out what that was. If I can find it again I'll  post a screen shot.

I installed Adobe Premiere Elements 2022 from the Adobe site on another machine running Windows 10. It does not have that panel, just the edit screen with the timeline panel. I know I'm not crazy. It was there and there were these small background squares.

So I uninstalled the version from the Adobe site and I'm going to install the version from the DVD. Maybe that will make a difference. I will report back.

Maybe I took too much medication. I've installed it from the Adobe site and from the DVD, both on another WIN10 machine.  It looks just like what I have on this one after I closed the panel on this one.
