When introducing text to video, playback is distorted (flickering). Any suggestions on how to fix this problem.

Which version of the program are you using?

Have you tried rendering the timeline by pressing the Enter/Return key on your keyboard?

Hi Steve - Tried Enter/Return but to no avail. Downloaded Premiere Elements 2025 online yesterday. Have many movies clips on timeline but as soon as I enter a text it affects the whole timeline with white "jittering". Dissappears when text deleted. Returns with new text line.

Which version of the program was the title created in? Are you still editing in that same version or did you convert it to version 2025?

Can you post a screenshot of your timeline showing this problematic clip?

Sorry.  I don't know why that would happen.

Does it happen with other titles or is it unique to this one?

Have you gone to the AMD or nVidia site and ensured you have the latest firmware and drivers for your graphics card? (Don't trust Windows to do it.)

I found the solution in my case. The flickering happened when I added text to the video, and it turned out to be related to the hardware acceleration settings. I disabled hardware acceleration in my video editing software, and the flickering stopped. If you're facing a similar issue, try turning off hardware acceleration or updating your graphics drivers—it worked for me.
