Text slide reveal

Hi. How could I make the next text slide reveal animation: the background is split in two different colors horizontally, there are two lines of text (different colors as well) sitting in the center of the frame, one on top of the other touching the line that separates the two colors of the background. I want those lines of text to slide reveal, as if each one emerged from the line in the center: Text 1 slides up (like it was covered by stripe at the bottom -purple), Text 2 slides down (like it was covered by stripe at the top -white).

I want to know if it's possible to do this with the tools available on Premiere elements 13 and in just one project. Thanks

Put the white block on Track 1

Animate Text 1 on Track 2 so that can appear over the white.

Put the purple block on Track 3 so that Text 1 can rise from behind it.

Animate Text 2 on Track 4 and then use the Four-Point-Garbage-Matte to mask the top half of the video frame so that Text 2 is only seen when it dips below the Matte.

If all you're doing is animating the movement of the two blocks of text, that's very easy to do in Premiere Elements. But you'll need several tracks of video so that the text appears from behind the white to in front of the purple and vice versa.

It's certainly possible -- just not easy to describe unless you're comfortable working with keyframed animation and several tracks of video. There's no automatic way to do it.

I'd said I'm a comfortable with keyframed animation when it's about basic motion and effects but I can try if you don't mind telling me. What I've done so far is put one block of text behind one of the colors then bring it up on top of the other color; the problem comes with the other block of text, I haven't figured out a way to do it in the same project (I wouldn't have a problem if I have to export one part first), I've tried a mask with track matte key with no success

Thank you
