Hi. I'm using Premiere Elements 15.
When I try to open a saved video project (a .prel file) to continue editing, it only gives me the option to skip or "skip all". That results in offline files being opened on the timeline.
Any ideas on how to fix this? I obviously don't want to have to start editing from scratch every time I need to edit a project in progress.
Also, where would I find updates for Premiere Elements 15?
Thanks
Double click on the missing media box and it opens Explorer. Navigate to where you put your clips and select the one that matches the file name.

Where are your media files located?
Are they on a hard drive not connected to the computer?
There are no updates for Premiere Elements 15.

Hi Bob.
I have the .prel files saved on the same Mac I am using to edit.

I was asking about the media files, not the project files.
The project files (.prel) have the editing information in them only, not the actual files used in the project.
The media files are the actual video and/or image files that were use in the project.
Where are the media files located?

Sorry about that!
The media files are on an external hard drive that I connect to the Mac

When you start a project, the files are linked to it from their location. They have to stay there. From what you've written, the links have been broken. That's usually because they are moved from where they were when the project started. If you have moved them (or if the link has been broken for some other reason), you can "re-link" them from the Project Assets panel.

Thanks!
The media files were indeed moved so I'll keep that in mind for future work.
How do I go about relinking media files from the Project Assets panel?

Thank you SO much!
I tried your tips on a new video. Saved it. Reopened it and everything was there. Happy, happy, happy with my first foray into the Adobe Forums!
