Why do menu markers create a new menu?

Apr 27, 2022 Apr 27, 2022

When I add new menu markers to my timeline it creates a new menu for each one, instead of just adding it to menu 1. Is there a way to manually move/add the marker to menu 1?

When there are multiple menus

1. the system adds a navigation arrow, a black one, which gets lost in the background.

2. if you move the buttons on main menu 1, then subsequent main menu marker buttons and navigation arrows are not only hard to see, they don't line up with the other menus

3. font sizes in subsequent menus don't match main menu 1. They can be off by 40 pts or more

Maybe I should open a ticket???

The Movie Menu templates in Premiere Elements only allow for on Main Menu Marker per page.

If you set your markers as Scene Menu Markers, this will not happen as most Scene Menus have room for at least four scenes per menu page.

My tutorials on adding menu markers might be helpful to you.

Thanks, I understand. They are menu markers, not scene markers or they would have ended up on a chapter/scene menu. I don't see any way to control any of them. The app just puts menu markers on menus (1 per menu) and scene markers on chapter/scene menus.

I'm new to the Adobe Premier app but I have used the Nero suite for quite some time and was just trying to learn more about Adobe.  I'll check out your tutorials. I guess I'm just expecting too much from the Adobe software.

Thanks for your quick reply
