Issues with Inaccurate Transcription in Premiere Pro and Premiere Pro Beta

Hello Adobe Community,

I've been encountering significant transcription issues in both Premiere Pro and Premiere Pro Beta. The transcription feature is struggling to accurately transcribe sentences, often capturing very little correctly. This is surprising, as I've never faced such extreme problems since the feature was first introduced.

I'm currently editing an interview that was recorded with an external microphone, and the audio is embedded directly into the video file. This has never posed an issue before, but now the transcription tool is skipping entire minutes of dialogue, making text-based editing completely impossible.

Has anyone else experienced similar issues, or does anyone have suggestions for a solution? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

It might help to post screenshots of the timeline.

@pleasehelpme_929313412,

Thanks for the additional info.

I'm wondering if there is something about the audio that is different. The timeline shows as a single stereo track, but I imagine I am seeing small differences between the left and right channels. One microphone recorded it?

If you are in the timeline/sequence view - view the Text panel/transcript tab. Pick the 3 dot menu and "Create static transcript." (You are not actually going to do the transcript, just look at the setting options.) What shows under "Audio on track"? Anything other than Mix and Audio 1?
