    Please fix this. I literally cant use the app at all. Anytime I leave to another app such as a browser, and back to Premiere the playhead and scrubbing...everything stops working. I have to quit and reopen and if I leave the app again it does the same thing, not a fun cycle. Please fix this ASAP.

    Just updated to the latest version. Reset preferences, cleared cache and tried changing the radio button for playing while scrubbing audio trick and nothing is working. This is not fixed.

    @jstrawn
    Already created a new bug report here:
    https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-beta-bugs/gui-timeline-performance-problems-since-25-2-0-build-50/idi-p/15034753

    Problem is I don't know what to do to reproduce it. It "just happens" in 25.2 and not in 25.1. It used to work fine in previous builds.

    @Christian Leibig This playback problem started in Pr25.2xBeta045 and was fixed in Pr25.2xBeta050. If I read your post correctly, all these latest problem started when you tried the fix in build 050. Is that correct?

    If so, then they are probably all separate bugs. You can report them in this beta forum by creating a new post and making sure the "Bug" radio botton is turned on. For any bug to be actionable we need some clear steps and a reliably reproducible result. I tried some of the things you mentioned and saw no problems on my own systems.

    @jstrawn

    I'm having a lot of timeline and other issues since this build. For example:

    - GUI isn't loading properly on start (some black panels) unless I resize those panels.

    - Timeline preview rendering start takes around 60-70 seconds, then goes at normal speed

    - Timeline freezes frequently (stops updating the program monitor)

    - Timeline often stops accepting input, I have to alt-tab away from Premiere and back again to be able to click on clips or start playback.

    - Clicking a clip on the timeline does not update the data in for exampleEffect Controls. It only updates the data once I move the playhead.

    - sometimes most of the GUI stops responding to clicks unless I move the playhead or resize the corresponding panel

    This is just off the top of my head. There's other weirdness going on, none of which I experience in the latest stable. 25.1 "just works", 25.2 currently is a master lesson in patience...

    Is this related to your changes/fix or a new bug entirely?

    The fix for this problem has been verified on mac and win at Pr25.2xBeta050. Please update to that build or later when you can.

    @Lounger

    It looks like the team has a fix on the way. Thank you for reporting this and I will let you know when the fix is in an update you can use.

    After upgrading from 24.x to 25.1 I noticed that the playhead is lagging while playing back. Generally the UI feels sluggish. It's even noticable while dragging the mouse (Outside of Premiere I get the fluid 144hz motion of the cursor).

    • Fresh installation of Premiere 25.1
    • Everything resetted (settings and workspaces) and cleaned
    • No Plugins

    • Windows 11 (23H2 OS Build 22631.4460)
    • GTX 1080 TI
      • Tried with driver version 566.36 (newest as of today) and 560.94
    • Intel 9900K
