Premiere always crashes when using enhance speech

Whenever I try and use enhance speech, premiere freezes the whole machine and crashes. It seems like it occurs when processing audio clips, though it doesn't happen immediately, nor every time—however, if enhance speech is used on a clip in a project, that project will crash at some point, without fail.

I'm using Premiere 24.3.0 (build 59), but the same behavior occurs in beta build 24.5.

I'm running Sonoma 14.4.1 on 2019 16-inch Macbook Pro.

2.3 GHz 8-Core Intel Core i9

AMD Radeon Pro 5500M 4 GB

Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4

I am shocked that this still has not been fixed.

Adobe's complete lack of support here is unacceptable. Do we need to pursue legal action to get a response? This bug is so serious it took my entire backup system out, irreplably damaging a hard drive.

Today, Premiere's Enhance Speech crashed, catestrophically freezing the entire system. This is been an issue for some time and it is astonishing to me that it not only crashes Premiere, but the operating system itself. While it is an extraordinary inconvenience to have to hard reboot the computer, today it took a devestating turn because the crash happened while Time Machine was backing up in the background. The backup disk is now damaged, apparently beyond repair. Please have someone from Adobe's support get in touch ASAP to address this issue and provide a remedy for the damage caused by your software.

I have the same issue today. I used to fiddle with the audio settings on my own and decided to try enhance speech today. I'm not on a mac...on a PC with a threadripper processor and an RTX graphics card. Hight end machine, 128GB of RAM, etc. Crashes premiere every time. Sometimes with an out of memory error, though checking the performance shows that it is not out of any type of memory at all. It seems to crash at 99%. Like it has processed all the clips and can't finish.

Also, here's a photo of what has happens... sometimes... usually however it just gives me the spinning wheel before just completely crashing the system.

Is there a fix yet? I a running the latest version of Adobe Premiere as well as Apple OS....  This is getting very frustrating. I've been trying to solve this to no end, and am at my witts end here. My client has been waiting for the finished film for over a month, and I can't edit anything right now. Enhance Audio is a feature that should not be in Premiere until this is addressed. It works pretty incredibly, but, this is unnacceptable for a professional product.

Same issue. Now I'm loosing work. Hard to believe this has been an issue for almost a month. Adobe should make this #1 priority!

I love/hate the fact the someone has announced this post as "correct answer", when you admit yourself it's a long-winded unwieldy patch at best. Admittedly I could enhance four hours of audio BEFORE importing it in to Prem Pro, but that is clearly a long, long way from ideal. I sometime get the impression that Adobe forgets that it's charging $650-a-year subscription for this software. We're not 'all in this together, trying to muddle through and find a work-around'.  We're the high paying customers being supplied with software that is glitchy-as-f**k and you guys are the people making huge profits out of us.  We're trying really hard to do our jobs and we're paying Adobe a lot of money to help us by supplying software that simply does what it's supposed to. We didn't demand that you release this feature (and many other dodgy ones) immediately. Adobe made that decision. All we're asking for is that it actually works when you do release it.  The *CORRECT* answer is, "it's OK everyone, we've fixed it". Or better still, you didn't have to, because it was never broken.

I almost lost an entire project to this issue, Premiere kept trying to restart the Enhancing process every time I opened the project, I was finally able to open an old auto save file from before I tried to Enhance any of the audio, big pain, 2-3 hours of time lost.
