Text in Captions Panel gets smaller when editing

Advocate ,
Jun 11, 2025 Jun 11, 2025

Steps to reproduce:

  1. In a sequence with captions, open the captions panel.
  2. Make the text in the captions panel bigger by dragging the lower-right slider to the right. It gets bigger - nice.

3. Click to edit some of the text.

Result:

Exactly when you want the text to be big (ie. when you're typing stuff in/editing it), it gets microscopic.

Expected:

Text should remain at a legible size - which is very important when, for example, changing Premiere's dumb quotes to smart quotes.

@hellopaul4,

I can replicate. I am still on Build 44.

I looked at each variation of the 3 font size options, and it can be hard to say whether it is only the Max size.

In any event, compare to Release 25.2.3, and the Max size works as it should.

This has been reported as a bug in release 25.3.0:

And is still present in Beta 25.4.0.71.
