Cant get stills to come in at specified length

I want a movie of stills, so I set the default still duration to TWO seconds.
Then they all come in at 1.29 seconds.  Now what?

Bruce is correct. The tool tip that says "Duration: 00;00;01;29" should be read as "0 hours, 0 minutes, 1 second, 29 frames".

Your timeline is set to 29.97 frames per second (fps) which for sake of this discussion we can pretend is 30fps. In a given second of your timeline, the first frame is 0 and the last frame is 29, for a total of 30.

 

So for a duration of 02;00, the last frame would be counted as 01;29.

 

I see what you mean though – if you set it to 2 seconds, you get a clip that is 01;29 rather than 2;00. For now as a workaround, try this: change the setting to 60 Frames. That seems to work for me.  Thanks for letting us know!

    1.29 sounds like exactly the right number of frames, for your specified duration...

    Thank you, so why wouldn't

    that be 60 frames?  2 sec x 30 fps

     

    here is another confusion, timeline says 2 sec,

    clip says 1.29 something

    Sorry, I meant that PPro might be presenting the value incorrectly; 1.29 could be an attempt to convey "one second's worth of frames, plus 29 more frames".
