Caption deletes randomly

When I am working on captions, I am having issues where the caption would delet after I have created it. 

I can create a caption, finish filling out the text. Create one or two more captions and then see that the caption field is blank, showing New Caption. 

Its frustrating to move forward when I constantly go back to fix a prevoius caption created.
