I can't seem to see the Generative Extend in my Toolbar section

Aye- the beta for premiere wasn't showing up in CC "updates" like the photoshop beta is, so I had just updated to general-release 2025 premiere thining it was the beta. I feel silly but ah well. Go to the beta tab in creative cloud, download it as a seperate program.  Hope it works for you!

It's confusing for sure, because they advertise and talk about the new feature when you open up Premiere Pro (2024 or 2025) but don't explain that it's not fully released yet and that it's only on the Beta version and not 2025.
Typical Adobe UI/UX/Update lack of thought.

What article? I'm talking about the popups when you first load up Premier Pro, " they advertise and talk about the new feature when you open up Premiere Pro (2024 or 2025)"

Generative fill is only available on Premiere Pro 25.1 which is a beta version. You have to install the beta version of the app through the Creative Cloud to get it. 

When I first tried to find it Creative Cloud wasnt displaying any beta apps, or even the beta apps tab. I fixed this by closing Creative Cloud and Premiere and re launching Creative Cloud as an administrator from the desktop. 

I hope this helps! I was messing with it for like 20 minutes until I decided to try launching it as an admin lol. Hopefully my struggle can end up saving someone the time.

There is no generative extend in the public 25.1

It is still in beta (25.2) as in still under development.

That's the point everyone is making, it's advertised when you open up the latest public version, says it's available to use, and then it's not actually available. That's what everyone has been confused about. Poor feature role out and poor communication.

It does not mean a feature in beta 25.1 will automatically go live when the build is releases to the public.

Generative Extend is still under development.

So of now the latest beta is 25.2 with the feature still under Development.

and if they had been as explicit, clear, and persistently consistent as you are, I wouldn't have had to search the web to find out which button this deliciously newly advertised feature is hidden under.
