Speech to Text -> Change default length of generated captions

On the beta Speech-to-text, I often find that the captions, as generated, are too short and I would like to make them longer without having to manually split / combine every second caption. I'm I missing a character count option, or is this something that can be added to an upcoming release?

Or to make this work even slicker, being able to drag a playhead or marker to adjust the break point would be much faster than manually editing text blocks 🙂
