I noted with alarm that tape capture is being omitted in the latest builds. And then I tried it in the latest build and it's just a blank dialog.
NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
I use tape capture all the time when capturing legacy tapes for clients. It's a big part of my business. That is one of the main reasons I don't recommend DaVinci. Without tape capture, you don't have that advantage over them, and we're going to have a hard time finding other tape capture utilities.
Yes, it may be rarely used, but it's very necessary for custsomers who do digital transfer work.
Put it back...please!!!

Yeah, saw the same announcement.
Grabbed an old pc, installed W10 and CS5.5 (installation and activation no problem, even got an update from Adobe).
I am now capturing all my tapes to hdd.
That being D8, mini dv and hdv.
BTW, Windows 11 does not recognize older cameras over firewire.
For DV you can use WinDV
and for HDV: HDV split.

I'm feeling less than enthusiastic about this change too because of all the DV tapes I have in a bin that I've been meaning to capture for 20 years. One more (BIG) reason to procrastinate.
