Premiere 2022 brought a lot of color managment changes to Premiere Pro. There are new and/or different options, spread out in several places around the application. Plus there have been several major default changes in the way Premiere reacts to many Log and most HLG/PQ media clips.
This has caused a fair amount of stress among the users, and it's confusing. Even trying to explain the changes is difficult, in listing the many things that have changed.
But the most difficult problem for users is that the CM settings are spread out in bits & drabs here and there. Project settings, clip properties in the bins, sequence settings, scope settings. Why is this such a major problem?
When you have a mismatch, you have to hunt all over the app for the places to check various settings!
We should have a single Color Management Panel ... with a set of controls for app-wide and default behaviors, and another tab for project or sequence over-rides to the default.
We are probably going to get more color management settings over time, I doubt they are done adding them in. To keep this from becoming a management nightmare, we need One Panel To Rule Them All.
I have a UserVoice request for this here ...
