Working with Prores RAW seems to be like a nightmare....

Importing the clips, crashes sereval times. At last, if I import some smaller batches it works.

Done, well then I want to get started to preview my clips... - Media pending... just hangs...?!

Restarting the program due - nothing works at all.

Once again starting up, same issue.

Starting up again with no preview, just draging and dropping to timeline, works. but then, crasches after a few minutes. - This is nog great at all.

USB attached drives unfortunately can be iffy. The Samsung T5 drives via USB-C are normally pretty stable, but I've had other drives in say external boxes via USB-C or USB-2 connections that haven't been always as solid, and certainly didn't have the sustained read/write.

I'm wondering what your experience would be like using an internal drive. Do you have multiple internal drives?

Yes, i did try it on my local internal raid.

2x8tb disks in a stripe.

had some issues there as well.

Another issue to report is that I did some timeline modification ladt night and shrinked a clip, filled it in with another, the playback of the shrinked clip just played up on the clip that was changed... then all editing stopped working and no preview was able to show.

Hi patrikp23968084,

i am trying to reproduce the issue on local system.

  • Are you also notice same issue with 14.2.0?
  • under display setting for Multiple display switch to Duplicate these display

Please also share specification of media is it 4K, 6k or 8K and also share some sample media.

Regards

Abhishek

Now I have tried all.

Computer specification

AMD 16 core CPU (Ryzen)

32GB of RAM

Nvidia RTX2080 - tried all drivers available, also studio-drivers.

removed all soundcards...

updated all patches for windows, reinstalled ALL application on creative cloud.

Nothing seems to help.... i so tired of this.

Newest version installed, all issues i have:

1. Starting up and working of a short moment, thumbnails start being grey, black or PENDING!

2. The program hangs totally, and greys out. Need to use taskmanager to KILL the program.

3. Changed the soundcard to another, Bluescreen.... ?!

4. Playback not working att all.

Then... I tried all this without PRORES RAW-clips.... works like a dream... so Adobe, for ones.... Can you deal with the Prores-support and not present a non-beta version as released as STABLE?! This is a joke, and it burns my money for all troubleshooting-time...

PLEASE DEAL WITH THE PROBLEM AND GET YOUR SUBSCRIBERS A USABLE PRODUCT!!!!

How are you importing? Via MediBrowser panel, Project Panel, drag/drop from Explorer/Finder?

What sort of storage device and connection do the clips have on your computer?
