Consolidate duplicates function broken

Premiere Pro 25.0, i7 14700k, 4080, 64 Gb of Ram, SSDs, Win 11 24h4. All drivers are up to date.

Consolidate duplicates function removes not only the duplicates but also some of the original files.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Open a project

2) Import a folder with files in it. I used a folder with 52 MP3s

3) Copy and paste this folder into the project bin. Thus you get a duplicate folder with another 52 instances of MP3s.

4) Go to Edit > Consolidate Duplicates. This command removes the duplicate folder with the 52 MP3s and 7 MP3s in the original folder.

Hi @AndrewTheGreat

I just attempted to reproduce this in a Mac setting with Premiere Pro V25.1 and a folder that contained 16 .MXF camera files. I was not able to reproduce but I will have someone from the team test on a Win11 machine and see what we find.

Thank you

Ian
