DJI Mini 4 Pro DLOG-M Freezes Files in PP

Hello,

I have the latest versions of PP for my Macbook Pro and PC. But when trying to use DLOG-M files in editiing after a few seconds of scrubbing along the timeline they just freeze. Rendering makes no difference, not exporting - the latter just shows the first frame of each shot. It's highly frustrating as the Windows version of PP is fine. I have tried converting too in Media Encoder, but these seem to fail. Need to be able to work efficiently in PP on my Macbook. Also installed on the Macbook is FCP and there are zero issues with DJI files, but I prefer to use PP.

BTW, 6k 30 files from the Mavic 4 Pro work fine, just the issue is with the Mini 4 Pro.

Try converting in Shutter Encoder

Some more stats:

Macbook Pro M1 Pro / 16GB RAM / 1GB Disk

Upon launching PP and the project, it initially plays but after ten or 15 seconds the picture freezes and sound continues. With and without music track the freeze happens. Opened up the Activity Monitor function in MacOS and pressed play on the time line and the memory consumed by PP is around 1.5GB, peaking occasionally at 3.5GB. Total RAM usage on the machine for all other apps and functions, including PP, never exceeded 9GB so plenty of RAM headroom. CPU usage occasionally spikes at 110% but usually hovers around 40% total usage.

Sure:

PP version: 25.3.0

MacOS: Sequoia 15.5

Hi @chrisp52140715

Thanks for the message. Welcome to the forums.I'm sorry you're having playback issues. Can you tell me the exact version number of Premiere you're using and more detailed video format information? It's interesting that it seems to be Mac-specific. What OS are you on?

We need a few more details to try to help with the issue. Please see: How do I report a Problem?  Sorry for the frustration, and thanks for reaching out.

Meant to say above 'nor exporting' makes a difference.
