I have just joined Premiere pro and already having issues with exporting my Project (video file).  Its keeps on crashing which i have seen is a common thing with Pro. I have tried all possibilities, even match video sours, but it takes an hour to export my video file and crashes fairly quick during the export. I have sent multiple reports. I have enough space on the harddrive - 430 GB. I use a Dell which has a AMD Radeon 780M Graphices. I'm not sure whats causing the issues, but i really need advice/ help. The format is default - H264 but not sure what i should change it to. I read to use software encoding rather than Hardware but still crashes.

Hi Rach,

They are all downloads from a website. Some where MKV video files which i converted with a help of a website to change to MP4.

At first it would crash at around 50 -70% but now at soon i get closer to 80% i can see the exporting slows down and crashes at 80%.

Its strange that you are not able to see the crash report as i do press the SEND tab and at times i even add my email address so someone can reply back to me, so i not sure why that is happening.

I have attached the screenshot of my exporting settings and the crashe report. I have just now sent the report again.

HI @Emran1,

Thanks for sending your email.  I'm still not seeing any associated bugs in our system.  Are you able to capture a screenshot of the error message?  Also, apologies; I should have been clearer. What type of media are you working with? Is it from a particular camera? Did you download it from somewhere? Does it always crash at the same 80%, or is it different?  Could you also post screenshots of your export settings?

Hi Rach,

Thank for getting back to me. sorry it has taken so long for me to reply to you.

So my footage is a anime amv which i have created. It is 3;14 minutes long for a youtube video. I am Exporting from Premiere pro and have used Media encoder. Its my first time so i still very new to this as i have used capcut previously. . I don't get playback issues only when i am trying to export. I am exporting again right now and waiting to see at what percentage its will crash. hopefully it wont. I have cleaned the media cache and also as advise used my disk cleanup to clean my laptop. I have around 390 GB free space on my c-drive.

Yep, it just crashed at 80%. It keeps on saying an error occurred and needs to close. I have used AE for each video clip to enhance the Colour correction and also used effects in my workflow. I have added my email address mulitple times when the crash pop up asks whether i would like some to contact me, so add my email address. it works when i am exporting at 1080p but when ii try 4k that's when it crashes. I am using software encoding. sometimes i try it by using VBR 2 pass it still it crashes. I have tried exporting it using Media encoder bu i have the same issues. I know i must be doing something wrong but i don't know what it is. I dont think i am using Proxies.

I hoped this information helped.

Hi @Emran1

Thanks for the message. Welcome to the forums.

I'm sorry to hear that you're having export issues.  Can you tell me a bit more about your workflow?  What type of footage are you working with?  Are you getting playback issues as well, or only export?  Are you exporting out of Premiere or Media Encoder?  Are you working with proxies?

I'm not seeing any crash report in our system under your email.  If you use a different email with your Creative Cloud account, please send me a DM with that email, and I can see if we can find the crash logs.

We need a few more details to resolve this issue. Please see How do I report a Problem.

I hope we can help you soon. Sorry for the frustration!
