When I start my project and first start editing video frezzes and audio keeps going. I pause the video, then move to a different time frame in the video to try to relink them back together, then program crashes.

PP Verison 25.3

I'm editing in 29.97 frames a second

Video is shot on a DSLR 1920x1080 at 30fps

Yes before I got my computer I was told 8gs of ram would work. I've had the laptop with PP on it for 4 and a half years I can only edit on the laptop without charging it. If its charging, the program will crash. My only conclusion is that form this 25.3 update it has not allowed me to edit the way I have been. If that is my probelm with Ram I will have to buy a new laptop with more ram because the one I have is built into the computer. I don't want to do that I just want to go back to editing my video.

Hi @Zach_123

and welcome to the Premiere Pro Forum community.  Thank you for taking your time to report a problem. Did the crashing happen with any other versions of Premiere Pro or is 25.3 the first time you ran into this issue?  The link here How to Report a Problem , has steps to providing more information about your bug that can help us identify the issue. Also check the system requirements page that @Peru Bob listed in his message.
Here to help.

Premiere Pro requires 2 GB GPU memory.

You've only got 8 GB RAM, so any memory that the GPU needs would be from the system RAM, leaving little RAM for Premiere Pro and the system.

What graphics does it have?

It may not be powerful enough to run Premiere Pro properly.
