Premiere Pro, AE and MC won't open

I have been running the updated Premiere Pro, AE and MC apps for some time now and today I can't open them without it crashing. Photoshop, Lightroom, and Audacity open find. I have run the CC Diagnostics and it says I have a corrupt preference. I followed the instructions and still can't get them to open without crashing. I have uninstalled CC and all the apps and reinstalled but still no go on PP, AE, and MC. Been running these apps for years on this machine with no problems at all. Any help is greatly appreciated as I am a few weeks from working on a project.

Has anyone come up with a solution on this issue? I need resolution on this as I have projects coming up. PP,AE, and ME still will not open.

This is my experience too, both on PP as well as on AE.

If I load the program normal it crashes after about 10 seconds. It gets hung up and never makes it to the screen with my projects.

@mtfotog I've sent you a private message here on the forums (look for the little mail icon in the top right of the screen). We can coordinate sending the files there. Thanks!

I can get to the reset screen to reset preferences...then it crashes midway through the load screen. I never can get to the project screen. I have tried to drag the .dmp files in here but I can seem to find a way to attch them. Like I said earlier 23.3 loads and opens, but now the video and audio plays jittery. Let me know how I can get you those .dmp files. Appreciate your help on this.

@mtfotog Thanks, if I can see those .dmp files I may be able to pinpoint the exact issue.

So you are able to load the Reset Options screen? If you launch without holding any keys (like normal), how far do you get, at what point does Premiere Pro crash? Is it while the loading screen is still up, or do you get to the point where you can select a project?

This is exactly what I am seeing and what I have opened a thread about: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-pro-bugs/premiere-pro-2023-crashes-on-startup/idc-p/13825872#M9324

23.3 works - 23.4 don't.

Matt,

Thanks for getting back to me....I have tried everything that has been suggested. I even rolled back the Windows update when it was working fine. Photoshop, Lightroom and Audacity still open up but the others won't open. I have done the reset option 3 times on ver 23.4 and it still won't open. I can roll back to 23.3 and it opens and I see everything but playback is slow and jittery. Any help on this is greatly appreciated on this as I have several projects coming up. On a side note...I have Media Composer on this same machine for a specific client and that program is running normal. I have the 2 on this machine for over a year with no problems.  Have found the .dmp files and am trying to get them to you.

@mtfotog I'm sorry that's happening! Since this is a new development, is there anything that has changed recently about your system that could be the culprit? Things like a new hardware device connected, or a new version of a plugin installed, or something like that?

I wasn't able to read your crash reports as it looks like they are three .dmp files (which is what I want) but embedded inside an .rtf file in a way that it's just a picture of them. Could you attach the .dmp files directly here?

Another thing to try if you are on the latest version of Premiere Pro (23.4) is to hold Shift while launching. You'll see "Reset Options" dialog appear first, and you can choose to launch without loading third-party plugins. Try that, as well as the option to reset preferences and clear media cache, and see if that gets you launching okay.
