Premiere Pro opens, opens project then immediately crashes

When I attempt to open a project in Premiere Pro, it opens and then the program crashes immediately.

I have installed a Digital Anarchy plug-in (Flicker Free 3.0.3)  which is used in many projects. I also use Red Giant plug-ins from Maxon (Red Giant Complete) which are also used liberally throughout all my projects. I suspect the Digital Anarchy file is the problem.

I am using an HP Z6 G4 Workstation with 65536MB RAM, Running Windows 11, NVidia Quadro RTX5000 graphics card that is up to date.

I am running Premiere Pro 25.5

I have clients wanting to see their show and I can't open the program.

I need help.

I am not having any success with my issue. I've reached out to Maxon and Digital Anarchy.

The program is still behaving in the same manner. Opens, opens project, populates, and then crashes.

I have uninstalled everything.  Restart . APPro, Maxon, Digital Anarchy, reinstalled APPro and Maxon, restart, same result.

I am at the end of my abilites for trying to solve this problem. Is there Adobe support beyond a message board ?

There are 3 of us in the shop and we're all out of guesses.

>ow do I re enable the plugins?

Just don't  hold Shift, during your next launch; they'll get loaded.

We've heard of some issues with Maxon's Tao plug-in.

You can find and remove individual plugins (Tao, Flicker Free, any others) here:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Common\Plug-ins\7.0\MediaCore

No problem! Your expressed doubt is much more useful than misplaced certainty would be. 🙂

Thank you for the response. Disabling the cache, plugin cache and the plugins seems to allow for the program to open and not crash immediately.

I'm not sure what a next step would be though. I use Maxon for color grading, so nearly every clip in every timeline has the colorista plugin on it. all the little extra shines and glows are gone too.

How do I re enable the plugins?

In our troubleshooting at the office we think we've narrowed the problem down to the Flicker Free plug-in, their whole website and licensing system has been altered. I have a response from a two days ago but nothing since.

As for what changed with my system, I don't know I was on location last week, to my knowledge the answer is nothing.

What has changed about your system, since the last time PPro launched successfully?
If you hold down Shift while launching PPro, you'll see an option to skip loading 3rd party plugins; does this help?
