Text-Based Editing Is Making It Impossible to Edit

Sharing a screen record with my mouse clicks on. I've found it impossible to make edits without encountering endless spinning wait cursors (beach ball of death).
This happens when I'm editing transcripts in text-based editing.

Specs:

2019 Retina 5k, 27inch iMac
3.6ghz 8-core i9

Radeon Pro Vega 48 8gm

128 gb Ram

@Ben27897038qavy Thank you, it's been helpful to look at your project. We have a potential fix for this issue in today's Beta version. If you are able to install Premiere Pro (Beta) from Creative Cloud desktop, I would be curious to know if you no longer see the hangs.

If you do try it, make sure you get Premiere Pro Beta 24.2 build 78 or later. Thank you.
