Unexplainable bug in REMIX TOOL

Win11 (installed 4 days ago), Premiere Pro 24.2.1, RTX 4080, i7 13700KF, 64 Gb Ram

I just finished a project and started to add music into it. Normally I would add a track, use the Remix Tool to prolong the music till the next logical part of the video and use the ducking.

Today when I try using the Remix Tool it makes my audio as long as the timeline (endless actually), though I drag it to an exact part of the timeline. If I cut it where the remixed m,usic has to stop, Premiere pro just crashes. I tried reconverting the music into mp3 and converting it to wav - in vain.

The peculiar thing is that I switched from win10 where the Remix Tool worked flawlessly to win11. This is the only difference. As I did so with a full SSD formatting Premiere pro is as new as a baby.

Other than that there's nothing new in my specs, software or my workflow.

Below there's a video. It's PremierePro+Ae+Me REINSTASLLED  afresh, the settings are reset via Shift+Click. The Tool just doesn't work. A styart with all the plugins deactivated helps neither.

Please try 24.4.1 with a new project and different media file to see if the issue is solved for you, @Madeline Gask30472715ucbu. Let us know, please!

Thanks,

Kevin

Any news about this bug? It is still present in Premiere Pro 24/3/0 (59). It only appers when using the instrument

In the Essential Sound there's no such behavior... But the remix tool is just more convenient
