Hello guys,

I found several interesting posts regarding (post)processing of UHD videos and I'd like to re-open this topic a bit. Namely, but not only, for people who may struggle from 10GbE connectivity or expensive storages for smooth UHD playback/editing.

I'm with the young company - Comprimato.com and we're working on a new product which, we believe, help you guys to solve the problem with 4K, 8K or VR video editing and playback during your video editing workflows. I know 4K and 8K editing is complex problem, but what I usually see is the issue with shared video storage and network bandwidh infrastructure so editors & VFX talents cannot smoothly play and seek demanding scene in the master video.

Our new product wants to help with UHD editing and offer dynamic resolution switching, in real time, without need of proxy file(s) rendering and save you some money on IT infrastructure.

Can you help me to understand few fine details about your job, as video-editor professionals? Ultra HD Workflow Survey . I can offer you a free license of our new product for Adobe Premiere if you'd help us.

If you're interested in more technical details how our product work you can have a quick look here: Implementing a JPEG2000 codec plugin for Adobe Premiere | Comprimato.com

thanks,

Michal
